Our workshops for ages 8 to 17 (and adults) focus on building medieval siege engines, metal crafts, and wood crafts. We emphasize historical context, engineering principles, and safety for a rewarding, educational experience. Workshop location is Alameda, CA. We are currently operating between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays. All classes and workshop availability dependent on enrollment

This two day workshop will leave you with the skills to hammer copper into a beautiful work of functional art. Plus you'll go home with an awesome copper coffee scoop!
This ten week course has you researching plans for three historic siege engines; The Ballista, The Catapult, and The Trebuchet as we explore a variety of engineering principals to plan, build models, then scale up to full size builds!
In this workshop you'll learn to make a traditional Celtic Torc in miniature. Its bracelet!
We meet once a week for ten weeks and dive head first into forging, welding, grinding our way to a start in understanding of the metal arts.

Plate Armor Making
This workshop is an ongoing pay by class
in making historic armor pieces. Build one or two pieces, or a whole suit of armor.
Crossbow Making
This course has you crafting a functional medieval crossbow! Course length is dependent on student skill level and degree of detail desired, and can run from 8 weeks or more. THIS CLASS IS RESERVED FOR STUDENTS 18 AND OVER.
Holiday Camp
All day camp when school is out but work still calls. Following the AUSD schedule of days off, we offer day camp for ages 5 through 13. Locations may vary. $400 Per child. Sibling discount available.
