Siege Engines

From the mighty Roman Empire, to the castles of medieval Europe, siege engines were designed and built for one purpose; to topple the walls of an enemy stronghold. Join us in this ten week class and learn to make a technical drawing of three siege engines and where they fit bin history; the Roman ballista, the trebuchet, and the mangonel catapult. Make working models to test the principals of torsion, gravity, and energy storage. Then build a full-scale engine as a team to be tested.
